Big moves in the Australian enterprise search & B2B Sales Enablement or Buyer Enablement space

Now in September 2022, there have been lots of additions & changes:

13-Sept-2022, it was announced that Search.io, a Sydney artificial intelligence-based search startup, has been acquired by French unicorn company Algolia for more than $100M AUD.

[…] Search engine technology for enterprises, which is used by the likes of Sennheiser, Catch, the New South Wales government and Lockheed Martin.

The ability to search in Real-Time [including the Deep web] from your very own device is now a reality using WikiLive. While search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc do a great job locating content on the web that is visible – they are not truly searching the web at the time of the request. In fact, you a searching a historical copy of the web when you using search engines. In other words, you are searching only the search engine’s database copy of the web and not the web itself. Search engines also need to constantly go out and make copies of the known web allowing you to search a moment in time from their own cached copy of the web. This process is very time-consuming and very costly to search engines that need to constantly repeat this process over and over again. Search engines can take days to weeks or even months to return to a site to have it crawled again just to look for new content. The web is also very complex & not easily searchable. Lots of sites have vast amounts of data that is not searchable or is impossible for conventional search engines to crawl. The buying journey isn’t linear: B2B buying doesn’t play out in any kind of predictable, linear order. Instead, customers engage in what one might call “looping” across a typical B2B purchase, revisiting each of those six buying jobs at least once. Buying jobs don’t happen sequentially, but more or less simultaneously.
